Born in a stable
With animals near,
Mary’s son faced
a future unclear.

The Savior arrived,
vulnerable, small,
without a king’s palace,
nor fanfare at all.

Angels were bursting
To shout out their praise
and said to the shepherds,
with voices raised,

“Glory to God
and peace on earth
to favored ones…
rejoicing and mirth!

Your Savior is born,
Messiah-Christ, the Lord!” ¹
May He be ever praised,
exalted, adored.
