Unresolved.

That friend could have been more supportive...
but she wasn’t.
Why couldn’t she?

That boyfriend might have been the one...
but he had doubts.
Did we miss God’s will?

My husband should have been the perfect match...
but with time, he wasn’t.
What happened?

That state could have been a great home...
but we wouldn’t let it.
Why did we move?

My child would have been a different person...
but we moved again.
What choice did we have?

My job was a gift from God...
but I had to give it up.
How was it “God’s will” to leave?

My prayers really needed an answer!
But I never heard it.
Was that my fault or God’s?

My troubled thought paths...
are well trodden.
Contentment beckons.

Resolved.

No person can always know or be what you need...
That friend
had weaknesses too.

I want to be realistic, not over-spiritualize...
That boyfriend
wasn’t sold on you. Period.

I’m trying to gain perspective...
My husband brought wounds to our marriage.
They festered; plus, people inflicted more.

Some things are just out of my control...
That new state
had lessons to teach you.

We needed to move that time...
My child, years later, is
becoming a different person.

God’s will or not, is not the point...
My job was a blessing
while it lasted.

The secret things belong to God... ¹
My prayer’s answer
might have made things worse.

Received.

Messy life. The Lord wills? Sure.
The Lord loves and wills and leads,
and allows and loves anyway.
